Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha

Following your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and completion of immigration and customs formalities, you will be warmly received by our representative just outside the arrivals area.

From there, you’ll be escorted to your private vehicle for a scenic drive to Arusha—a gateway city nestled at the foothills of Mount Meru. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, offering a gentle introduction to the landscapes of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, settle in and unwind in preparation for the adventures ahead.

  • 07h00: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
  • 08h00: Depart from Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours through northern Tanzania’s beautiful countryside.
  • 11h30: Arrive at the lodge, check in, and enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the vast landscapes of Tarangire.
  • 15h00: Set out on an afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated gems. Known for its towering baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Tarangire also offers excellent wildlife viewing with frequent sightings of lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, and over 500 species of birds. The park’s permanent river attracts wildlife throughout the year, making it a rich and rewarding safari destination.
  • 17h00: Return to the lodge for refreshments and some time to relax before enjoying a freshly prepared dinner in the evening.
  • 07h00: Begin the day with an early breakfast at the lodge to fuel up for a full day of exploration.
  • 08h00: Depart for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch provided by the lodge. Spend the day exploring deeper into the park’s diverse habitats open grasslands, riverine woodlands, and seasonal swamps. Tarangire is especially renowned for its high density of elephants and stunning baobab trees, along with frequent sightings of predators and migratory herds.
  • 12h30 Stop at a scenic picnic site within the park to enjoy your packed lunch, surrounded by nature and the sounds of the bush.
  • 15h30: Begin driving back toward the lodge, keeping an eye out for any last-minute wildlife sightings along the way.
  • 17h00: Arrive at the lodge for a sundowner experience relax with a drink while watching the sun set over the Tarangire landscape, a perfect way to end a day in the wild.
  • 07h00: Start the day with an early breakfast at the lodge before checking out.
  • 08h00: Depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a drive of about 2 to 2.5 hours. The park is a lush, compact jewel known for its diverse landscapes ranging from groundwater forests and open plains to the alkaline lake itself. It’s famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and abundant birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans.
  • 09h30: Enjoy game drives through the park, exploring its rich habitats and looking out for elephants, hippos, zebras, and other wildlife.
  • 13h00: Stop for lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, which offers panoramic views over the Great Rift Valley and the lake below.
  • 14h30: After lunch, proceed to your lodge (located in the Karatu area or nearby) and check in. Afternoon Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure relax at the lodge, take in the scenery, or enjoy available amenities such as the pool or spa.
  • Evening    Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by a peaceful evening to unwind.
  • 06h00: Begin the day with an early breakfast at your lodge in Karatu. After breakfast, check out and get ready for a day of adventure in one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders.
  • 06h45:Depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive to the crater gate takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, offering scenic views along the way.
  • 07h45: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game drives. The crater is a world-renowned wildlife haven, often called “Africa’s Eden.” With its permanent water sources and lush vegetation, the crater floor supports an incredible diversity of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and the rare black rhino.
  • 12h30: Stop for a picnic lunch at a designated site within the crater, such as the Ngoitoktok Springs picnic area, where you may see hippos lazing in the water and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.
  • 13h30: Continue with an afternoon game drive, exploring more of the crater’s varied landscapes and encountering additional wildlife.
  • 15h30: Begin your ascent from the crater and head to your lodge located on the crater rim.
  • Evening: Check in at the lodge and relax with spectacular views over the crater floor below. Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by a peaceful evening in this unique highland setting.
  • 07h00: Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park.
  • 08h00: Depart for the Serengeti, driving through the stunning highlands of Ngorongoro and into the endless plains of the Serengeti. The drive can take approximately 4 to 5 hours, depending on game viewing and the chosen gate entry (Naabi Hill Gate is the most common). Along the way, you may spot wildlife as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
  • 13h00: Arrive at your camp or lodge in the Serengeti in time for lunch. Enjoy a hearty meal and a short rest amidst the sights and sounds of the savannah.
  • 15h30: Embark on your first afternoon game drive in the Serengeti. This vast ecosystem is teeming with wildlife and is especially known for the Great Migration (seasonal), large predator populations, and classic African scenery.
  • 18h30: Return to your camp or lodge as the sun begins to set.
  • Evening: Dinner will be served at your accommodation, followed by time to relax around the campfire or under the stars, listening to the distant calls of the wild.
  • 06h30: Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge or camp before setting off for an exciting full day of game viewing in the Serengeti.
  • 07h30: Venture across the park’s diverse habitats, searching for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and many more species that call these vast plains home. Guests can choose to return to the lodge for a hot lunch and a short rest, or stay out all day with a picnic lunch to access more remote and wildlife-rich areas of the park.
  • 16h30: Return to the camp after an incredible day in the wild.
  • 17h30: Unwind with a scenic sundowner experience enjoy drinks and light bites as you watch the sun dip below the horizon, casting golden light over the Serengeti.
  • Evening: Dinner will be served at the lodge or camp, followed by a relaxed evening under the stars.
  • 07h00: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge or camp as you take in the final sights and sounds of the Serengeti.
  • 08h30: Check out and transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha.
  • 11h00: Board your flight from Seronera to Arusha.
  • 12h25: Arrive at Arusha Airport, where you will be met and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge.
  • 13h00: Enjoy a relaxing lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge, set in a tranquil garden estate near the base of Mount Meru.
  • 14h30: After lunch, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward departure flight.
