8 Days /7 Night
Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport – Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) and after completing immigration and customs procedures, you will be met by a professional safari representative just outside the arrivals terminal. From here, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi in a private safari vehicle a comfortable 30- to 45-minute drive, depending on traffic.
Upon arrival, check in and take some time to unwind from your flight. If time permits, you may choose to visit local attractions such as the Giraffe Centre or David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and get a good night’s rest ahead of your safari adventure.
Day 2: Nairobi → Ol Pejeta Conservancy
07h00 Start your day with a wholesome breakfast at the hotel.
08h00 Depart Nairobi by road for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a scenic journey of approximately 3.5 to 4 hours via the town of Nanyuki, located at the foothills of Mount Kenya.
12h30 Arrive at Ol Pejeta and check in at your lodge or camp. Lunch will be served upon arrival.
15h00 In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in this pioneering conservancy. Ol Pejeta is home to the last two northern white rhinos, a sanctuary for chimpanzees (rescued and protected at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary), and a stronghold for the endangered black rhino.
17h30 Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening in the Kenyan highlands.
Day 3: Day 03: Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy
07h00 Enjoy breakfast at your lodge before heading out for a full day of game viewing.
08h00 Depart for a morning game drive, with the opportunity to spot the Big Five, as well as endangered species like the Grevy’s zebra and Jackson’s hartebeest.
12h30 Stop for a picnic lunch or return to the lodge for a meal, depending on your preference.
14h00 In the afternoon, consider engaging in unique optional activities such as lion tracking, a guided bush walk, or a visit to the anti-poaching dog unit.
17h00 Return to your lodge for a sundowner and dinner as you soak in views of Mount Kenya and the surrounding savannah.
Day 4: Ol Pejeta → Lake Nakuru National Park
07h00 After breakfast, check out and begin your journey southwest toward Lake Nakuru National Park, located in the heart of the Rift Valley.
12h00 Arrive and check in at your lodge near or inside the park.
13h00 Lunch will be served with views overlooking the lake or park landscape.
15h00 Embark on an afternoon game drive through the park. Lake Nakuru is famous for its white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and large flocks of flamingos (seasonal). Keep an eye out for leopards resting in acacia trees.
7h30 Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara National Reserve
06h30 Early breakfast at the lodge, followed by check-out.
08h00 Transfer to Lanet or Naishi airstrip for your scheduled flight to Maasai Mara.
09h00 Take off for Maasai Mara flight duration: approximately 1 hour.
10h00 Arrive at one of Maasai Mara’s bush airstrips, where you will be met by your camp or lodge’s guide for a game drive transfer to your accommodation.
13h00 Enjoy lunch at the lodge and settle into your new surroundings.
15h30 Set off for an afternoon game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations and home to abundant wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and wildebeest.
18h00 Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the wild.
Day 6: Full Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve
06h30 Wake early for a light breakfast or coffee at camp.
07h00 Depart for a full-day game drive with packed lunch or enjoy morning and afternoon game drives separated by lunch at camp.
Maasai Mara offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa year-round and is the stage for the Great Migration (seasonal, July–October). Expect to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and possibly leopards and rhinos.12h30 Lunch served in a scenic spot under a tree or along a riverbank.
16h00 Return to the camp, or continue with an evening game drive.
19h00 Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Full Day in Maasai Mara
06h00 Optional: Depart early for a hot air balloon safari followed by a champagne bush breakfast (additional cost).
08h00 Otherwise, begin your day with a morning game drive or choose a more relaxed morning at camp.
10h00 Optional visit to a local Maasai village to learn about traditional culture and daily life.
13h00 Lunch at the camp followed by some time to rest.
16h00 Late afternoon game drive or nature walk
19h00 Dinner followed by a campfire under the stars listen to the sounds of the African night.
Day 8: Maasai Mara → Nairobi (By Flight) – Departure
06h30 Early breakfast at the lodge.
08h00 Transfer to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi.
Flight duration: Approximately 1 hour.09h30 Arrival in Nairobi, where you’ll be met by a representative and transferred to a local restaurant for lunch (optional, depending on your flight schedule), a day room to freshen up, or directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your international departure.
